I guess Scotty has beamed up one last time. James Doohan died a few hours ago in Redmond, Washington.

I was just 17 years old when "Star Trek" debuted on t.v. I've always loved it, even the sequels and spinoffs. Scotty was wonderful. Nothing was less reliable than those damned dilithium crystals.

He was a great actor, and the character was one of the best on TV.

I watched every one of those shows faithfully when they first came out. And I watch the reruns too.
